If you consider the strength and depth that Belgium have possessed down the years, this talented nation have never quite managed to exceed expectations.
Ahead of every major tournament, fans and experts alike expect this country to reach the latter stages of a major tournament and it's understandable.
From the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard to Radja Nainggolan and Dries Mertens, they have some of the biggest names in world football representing them, but for whatever reason, Belgium have failed to compete at the very top.

But we think 2018 could be the year that all changes.
With just 90 days until the start of the 2018 World Cup, Roberto Martínez has named his 28-man squad for their upcoming friendly with Saudi Arabia.
Martinez has revealed that Belgium have organised three more World Cup warm-up matches, against Portugal (June 2), Egypt (June 6) and Costa Rica (June 11) as they boast one of the strongest squads in international football.

Just look at the state of this squad.
Of course, Belgium are in the same World Cup group as England, but their tournament begins in Sochi when they face Panama on June 18 - not to mention their other tie against Tunisia.
The Red Devils arguably come into 2018 with their strongest squad yet.

Belgium's past four results show how dangerous they can be, including 4-0, 6-0 and 8-1 wins against Bosnia, Estonia and Estonia in World Cup qualifiers.
The fact that this Belgium side have the choice of either Hazard, Carrasco and Mertens on either wing alludes to how special this group of players are, with the likes of Lukaku, De Bruyne and Nainggolan featuring ahead of the World Cup 2018.

Not to mention their ridiculously strong defensive line-up that includes Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
Thoughts on their chances in the summer?
