Bayern Munich have emerged as the new front runners to land the signature of Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to reports from Goal.com.
The Spanish international has been reportedly pursued by both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the january transfer window. The 24-year-old has struggled to hold down a starting place in Zinedine Zidane's team so far this season and could be deemed surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu.
As a result, German giants Bayern are rumoured to be in the hunt as they look to freshen up their attacking options. Both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are entering the twilight of their careers and Isco enjoyed a decent spell at Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti.
