Joey Barton has taken his latest jibe at Scottish football today by claiming Scott McTominay has only pledged his future to Alex McLeish's side so he can have summers off.
Since breaking into the Manchester United starting XI this season under Jose Mourinho, the international future of Lancaster-born McTominay has been widely debated, but as the news broke yesterday confirmed, it now appears he's decided to play for Scotland over Gareth Southgate's England.

Barton - who struggled during his brief stint in Scottish football at Rangers - has given his take on events, and couldn't resist sticking the boot into Scotland one more time.
Speaking on Alan Brazil's talkSPORT radio show this morning, the former Newcastle and Man City midfielder said: "He obviously wants his summers off.
"He has shown his ambition hasn't he? He realises the weight of playing for England and working every summer - he doesn't want that.
"Maybe Manchester United and Fergie have influenced it.
"Scotland have improved the last qualification campaign and if he feels more Scottish than English fair play to the kid.
"It would have been easy to go financially to the England side and, if you are in the Manchester United team, then there's a good chance you get called up by England.
"That has been a route map for a long period if you look at Lingaard and Rashford etc.
"But fair play to the boy if he feels a passionate Scotsman like Mr Brazil here then it can only be a good thing for Scotland because he is a seriously talented individual."
Just a reminder that Scott McTominay has just pocketed Eden Hazard at the age of 21. Absolutely delighted for him, an academy product taking full advantage of his chance in the team. Playing like a seasoned pro out there.
