A few years ago, a young Ilaix Moriba asked Lionel Messi for a picture as a fan.

Yesterday, he assisted the six-time Ballon d'Or winner's 19th La Liga goal of the season as the Blaugrana ran out 2-0 winners against Sevilla.

Moriba, having made his debut against Cornella in the Copa Del Rey last month, was brought on as a substitute in the victory at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

He entered the fray in the 70th minute and helped the club seal an important win when he set up Messi in the 85th minute.

It was his third appearance of the season and the former Espanyol youth product was incredible grateful for the opportunity. After the game, cameras captured the humble moment he bowed down to manager Ronald Koeman before embracing his boss.

Overjoyed with his cameo, the Guinean took to Twitter to post a picture of he and Messi celebrating and made it clear who he deems to be the best of all-time with his caption.

Koeman was impressed with what the young prodigy brought to the table when he came on in the second half, telling Marca: "He was very good.

"He was strong and very calm on the ball after coming on. He contributed in the little time he had. He helped us to win."

Barca face Sevilla again in the Copa Del Rey semi-final second leg on Wednesday, with the Catalonian side 2-0 down from the first leg.
