Barcelona have unveiled plans to redevelop the Nou Camp, increasing the capacity stadium to 90,000 to 105,000 as well as modernising the stadium.
The project is expected to cost a hefty £465m, with Japanese company Nikken Sennei Catalan studio Pascual i Ausio Arquitectes designing the new and improved stadium.
The Catalans shared concept images of what the renovated Nou Camp will look like and it's fair to say it looks seriously impressive.
Redevelopment will commence in 2017 and the project is scheduled to be completed by 2022, the majority of the building work taking place in off-season while Barcelona are not playing their home games.
The Nou Camp is widely considered to be one of the very best stadiums around, but when the modernised version comes into play, few will be able top it. A possible factor in the redevelopment plans is that the club appear be seeking a sponsor for the stadium, which will cover part of the cost.
