Barcelona could be ready to smash the world-record transfer fee and sign one of Europe's biggest prospects.
The Spanish club sold Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 for €222m (£200m), with the French club also holding the second biggest transfer in history when they completed the signing of Kylian Mbappé in the summer.
Now, Barça have identified the man who they want to replace Lionel Messi with for the long term.
According to Don Balon (via Goal), the reigning La Liga champions are ready to pay an incredible €250 million ($285m/£219m) for Juventus' Paulo Dybala.
The 24-year-old Argentine forward has been in sensational form for the Italian club, having scored the winner against Manchester United in the Champions League last month.
Yesterday, Dybala scored in the opening minute for Juventus against Cagliari. Before the kick-off for that match, Juventus president Andrea Agnelli presented Cristiano Ronaldo with a special present.
Ernesto Valverde's side have made a brilliant start to their season in both La Liga and the Champions League. Looking ahead, though, the addition of Dybala would certainly be a big statement of intent for the 2019-2020 season.
SPORTbible reported earlier today that Barcelona are already preparing for the January transfer window to open and have a shortlist of defenders they are set to target.
