Barcelona Staff Furious With Ousmane Dembélé After 'Going AWOL'
Barcelona's staff are furious with Ousmane Dembélé after he went AWOL from training.
Mundo Deportivo reports that the 21-year-old Frenchman could not be contacted for "an hour and a half" over the phone, which caused "unrest" for Barça's team as they tried to chase him up.
The World Cup winner has been suffering from gastroenteritis, with the club excusing him from training after his illness became apparent.
Barcelona weren't annoyed by the fact that he was ill, but rather his lack of communication when it came to reporting to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for training.
According to Marca, he also missed his training session on Friday.
Barcelona signed Dembélé from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth €105 million (plus add-ons) in 2017.
He had a hit-and-miss first season at the Nou Camp, which included missing four months due to a hamstring injury.
He remains high in the pecking order for Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde, though he does face competition from Malcom.

"I'm very happy with my development with every passing day. My objective is to make my dreams come true.
"My family is also adapting very well to the city. Anyway, I'll continue fighting for everything I desire in my career."
