Barcelona Linked With Bringing Another Former Player Back To The Club

The Catalans absolutely love signing their ex players.

Barcelona have a habit of re-signing former players.

The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Gerard Pique and Denis Suarez spent time in the youth ranks before being sold on and being brought back when the time was right. It's common knowledge that Barca place buy-back clauses on their youth players should they be offloaded.

It's obviously a very shrewd thing to do as in many cases, the players have improved significantly to the point where they become a useful hand in the first-team squad - Denis Suarez's form this season is evidence of that.

And there are reports that they are looking to do the same with a few other players.

Not only have there been a plethora of reports that the Blaugrana are exploring the possibility of bringing Hector Bellerin back to the club having had several issues at right-back this season, some reports have indicated that they are considering buying Gerard Deulofeu again.

The 23-year old was sold permanently to Everton for a mere £4.2 million but SPORT reported back in March that Barca have an option to bring him back to the Nou Camp for €12 million euros if they activate a buy-back clause before June 30.

And Barcelona have also been linked with another move for a former player.

Marca are reporting that Barcelona chiefs have reached out to Southampton player Oriol Romeu, and his entourage, over a summer move.

Romeu came through the ranks at Barcelona but only made a single appearance for the club in La Liga after being brought into the first-team in the 2010/11 season.

The Spaniard then joined Chelsea permanently in 2011 but failed to become a regular and was subsequently loaned out to Valencia and Stuttgart, before signing for Southampton, where he has grown to become a key play from Claude Puel.

His combative midfield displays for the Saints are said to have caught the attention of Barca, who are seemingly looking for an extra bit of steel in the middle of the park.
