Things aren't exactly going badly at Barcelona at the moment given that they are top of La Liga and have three wins out of three in the Champions League, but reports say manager Ernesto Valverde is unhappy with three players in his squad and wants them disposed of.

The club are no doubt looking to strengthen their side after a fairly underwhelming window despite signing Ousmane Dembele for big money, but will need some departures in order to spend.

And as per Catalan newspaper SPORT, Valverde has told Barca officials the three players he wants offloaded.

For starters, Arda Turan is one of the names touted.

The 30-year old, who arrived at Barcelona from Atletico Madrid in 2015 but had to wait until January 2016 to make his official debut because of the transfer ban imposed on the Catalan club, hasn't played a single game for the club this term. His only minutes on the pitch have been for the Turkey national team.

He was said to be close to joining Galatasaray in the summer, but the move never materialised. A January move away looks like and Barcelona look set to make a considerable loss on the €41 million they paid to land him.

Then there's Rafinha, who came through the ranks at the Blaugrana but has never been considered a regular in the side.

The Brazilian, who is the brother of Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago, was linked with Premier League pair Arsenal and Liverpool in the summer, while there's also been interest from Juventus.

Lastly, completing the trio of expected departures is Paco Alcacer. The Spaniard was a reported £27 million signing from Valencia in 2016 but has struggled to be anything other than a bit-part player at the club and has failed to put the pressure on the likes of Luis Suarez in attack.

Prior to leaving for the Nou Camp, Alcacer scored a total of 29 goals in his last two seasons for Valencia. But since moving to the Blaugrana, the goals have dried up for him and he only managed eight in 28 appearances last term.

It's not got any better for him this season, as the 24-year old has only played 115 minutes of football and failed to find the net. He's been linked with Southampton and Crystal Palace.

Would getting rid of this trio be in Barca's best interests?

Sound off in the comments.
