Mario Balotelli wants to join a 'big club' and has even said he'd be willing to join a certain club for absolute free.

The fiery Italian striker is enjoying his football in France with Nice. Scoring goals freely in Ligue 1.

After spells in the Premier League and Serie A, Balotelli opted to head to France, and he's been in prolific form.

In his debut season, he netted 15 goals from 23 league games, while securing a Champions League spot after Nice finished third.

He's already weighed in with 10 goals from 13 league games. But he wants a new challenge. Possibly even looking at a switch-of-clubs once the transfer window reopens in few weeks.

"The aim is to go back to a big club. To win something important again. I called (agent) Mino Raiola and asked: 'What am I doing in January?' He said he didn't know. I want to remain, so we'll see," he said via Mirror.

"Admittedly, I would like to get back to having a strong squad behind me. I want to play in the Champions League and win something.

"I am certainly not thinking about the end of my career yet. I am 27 years old, so I can play another six or seven years at the top level.

While also saying he'd be prepared to return to Manchester City for free.

"I love City, the Manchester City fans and the club. I'd happily go back there for free. It was the best year of my life, even if the city is a little difficult to live in. Manchester is not London.

"In football terms, City was spectacular. I am so happy that they are going strong with Pep Guardiola and hope they win the title with 20 games to spare.

The former City and Liverpool star also spoke about fatherhood.

"I am the father everyone would want because I never say no. I like to see them laugh and joke.

"Except when I come back from training and rest for two hours, the rest of the day is for my children. I have never been so happy than the first time Pia (his daughter) called me dad.
