Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is officially an Arsenal player, and he's issued an apologetic farewell to everyone associated with Borussia Dortmund.

The Gabon striker has FINALLY completed a transfer away from Borussia Dortmund after ongoing saga's in both the summer, and January transfer windows.

He was heavily linked with a move to AC Milan and the Chinese Super League during the summer market, with Arsenal eventually securing his services this morning via a club record fee.

After shelling out a reported £46.5 million for Alexandre Lacazette at the start of the season, Arsenal have yet again splashed the cash for another lethal striker.

The Gunners have forked over £56 million for Aubameyang who joins former Borussia Dortmund teammate Henrikh Mkhitaryan at the Emirates. Naturally, the Arsenal faithfuls are salivating at the prospect of the pair in tandem.

And now his Arsenal deal is signed, sealed and delivered; the 28-year-old has penned an emotional message to his now-former club.

"First of all sorry for everything that happened in the last month," Aubameyang wrote on Instagram.

"But I wanted to change last summer, it did not work, but now it had to be. Maybe it was not the best way I chose, but everyone knows that Auba is crazy - and yes, I'm a crazy kid, hahahaha!

"I've made mistakes, but never with malice. I will never forget these four and a half years at Borussia Dortmund, because you all gave me the strength for the level I am now. Thanks to the whole BVB family, the fans, the club, the staff and of course my teammates! Your Auba1" He added.

Aubameyang was suspended by Borussia Dortmund with the club citing 'disciplinary reasons.'

Despite the unceremonious ending to his career in Germany, Aubameyang still weighed in with an impressive 13 goals from 16 Bundesliga games, and a further four in the Champions League.

How will he fare in England? Let us know.

And will Arsene Wenger hand him his debut against Everton on Saturday? Watch this space.
