Atalanta's Signing Of Diego Laxalt Was Well And Truly Written In The Stars

Diego Laxalt to Atalanta is literally the most perfect signing ever, with the Uruguayan having an uncanny resemblance to the club's crest.

The former Genoa man is on the verge of joining Atalanta on loan from AC Milan, linking up with manager Gian Piero Gasperini for the second time.

According to Nicolo Schira from Gazzetta dello Sport, the 26-year old has agreed terms with the Champions League club and a permanent €12 million move is on the cards if specific performance objectives are met.

But as Nico on Twitter has pointed out, we really should have seen it coming because Laxalt, with his heavily-braided hair, is literally the person in Atalanta's badge. The genius tweet has promptly gone viral, with over 11,000 likes at the time of writing.

If the club don't use this in their signing announcement on social media then they have seriously missed a trick. Turns out though, that Laxalt is the only Uruguayan to look like the person in a Serie A side's logo.

If Laxalt's soon-to-be teammate Matteo Pessina had his way, Atalanta's badge would probably be PornHub-inspired. Last month, the former AC Milan man returned to training with a PornHub bag which appears to contain signatures of several famous pornstars and made a monumental impact on the internet.

The 22-year old has clearly caught the adult site's eye as they then decided to gift him a whole PornHub goody bag - made up of accessories such as t-shirt and hats.
