Arsenal fans sarcastically celebrated Rodri's goal for Manchester City like they had scored in a moment that summed up their Premier League showing on Saturday.

The Gunners were well and truly thrashed by Man City, who scored FIVE goals without reply.

Ilkay Gundogan, Ferran Torres (x2), Gabriel Jesus and Rodri all got on the score-sheet.

And after the Spain midfielder slotted past Bernd Leno, each corner of the Etihad Stadium celebrated.

Yes, even the away end - with Arsenal fans celebrating a goal against their own team.

Needless to say, it sent social media wild.

One tweeted: "Arsenal fans CELEBRATING Man City's 4th goal AGAINST them. This club is absolutely finished in all galaxies!"

A second wrote: "It's THAT bad that Arsenal fans are even celebrating when City score."

A third added: "Arsenal fans celebrating the 4th goal is all you need to know about Arteta. Utter humiliation magnanimous embarrassment."

Mikel Arteta has now lost his opening three league games following their crushing 5-0 loss to Man City.

Arsenal lost their opener to new boys Brentford before suffering a defeat to London rivals Chelsea.

Defeat at Man City leaves Arteta's side in the bottom three heading into the international break.
