Arsene Wenger has been offered a two-year contract extension at Arsenal and though it's still unclear as to whether he stay on beyond the current campaign, Arsenal summer transfer rumours aren't slowing down.

Reports have emerged this morning, namely from The Mail, that Arsenal are keen on signing Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Hart is currently on loan at Torino in Italy after being told by Pep Guardiola that his style of goalkeeping didn't suit his style of playing, leading to the City boss signing Barcelona's Claudio Bravo - whose displays have been much-maligned.

The Gunners are on the look-out for a new goalkeeper, with Petr Cech not getting any younger, and should they seal a deal to sign Hart, Cech would become the understudy in the same way he was back-up to Thibaut Courtois in his final season at Chelsea.

Hart does not look likely to return to City but a return to England, in the Premier League is very much on the cards - even though the 30-year old is enjoying his time in Serie A.

Liverpool have been strongly linked and now fresh reports have indicated that Arsenal are also in for him.

City are happy to sell to a Premier League rival if a suitable offer comes in. They would likely ask for around £15 million for anyone interested in Hart's services.

A move back to the Premier League is extremely important for Hart's international future as it would allow England boss Gareth Southgate to keep a closer eye on him,.

Arsenal are also set to assess another goalkeeper's situation in the summer.

When the summer rolls around, Arsenal will make a decision about to decide whether selling Wojciech Szczesny or giving him a new contract is the best option.

The Polish international, who had some very dodgy pictures posted on his Instagram after appearing to be hacked last night, has been on loan at Roma for the past two seasons.
