Arsenal And Chelsea Enter Into Race To Sign Barcelona Star
Arsenal and Chelsea are both ready to reinforce their respective squads after making contact with a Barcelona star.
The Gunners are fifth in the Premier League and are level on points with the Blues, with both teams only two points behind third-place Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Marca, Arsenal and Chelsea have entered into talks with Barcelona over the transfer of Denis Suárez.
The 24-year-old Spaniard has only made five appearances under Barça manager Ernesto Valverde this season.
Arsenal and Chelsea believe they can offer the Barcelona midfielder more game time.
The Spanish newspaper adds that the player would be interested in a return to England, having previously spent time with Manchester City's youth academy.
Barcelona are reportedly willing to part ways with Suárez, with the club looking for a fee in the region of £9m to £13.4m.
However, Arsenal manager Unai Emery and Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will face tough competition in landing Suárez, with AC Milan and Valencia also weighing up the possibility of making a move for him.
Arsenal alongside with Chelsea have opened talks with Barcelona starlet, Dennis Suarez. The 24-year-old has struggled for game time making just five appearances in all competitions this season, one of them being in the La Liga.

Denis Suarez wants to leave Barcelona in January and his most likely destinations right now are Arsenal or Chelsea. Both clubs have had contacts with Barcelona who pretend to get 10-15m. Valencia and Milan also interested but he prefers to go to the PL, ideally to London.
