Sporting some new braids for the meeting with his former club, Griezmann somehow managed to miss from around three yards out when it genuinely looked harder to do so.
The ball was fired in by Jordi Alba and as the Frenchman attempted stab in at the far post, his connection was all wrong and the ball was deflected away from goal and into the grateful clutches of the goalkeeper.
Fans on social media were astounded as to how Griezmann didn't find the net:
Griezmann won't want to watch that one back anytime soon but fortunately for him his miss wasn't costly as Barcelona still ran out 2-1 winners at the Nou Camp.
Barca struck through Alba and Frenkie De Jong in the first half after Willian Jose had put the Basque side in the lead.

Former Atletico Madrid forward Griezmann can also take some comfort in the fact that he wasn't the only one to miss in horrendous fashion on Wednesday.
Over in Turin, Alvaro Morata had a shambolic backheel fail from an open goal in the 1-1 draw with Atalanta - although his blushes were spared slightly as the offside flag eventually went up.
