Luis Enrique may have been relentlessly linked with the Chelsea manager's job over the last couple of weeks, but new reports have surfaced which claim the former Barcelona boss could in fact end up at a different Premier League destination, this summer.

With Antonio Conte's future looking more up in the air with every passing game at Stamford Bridge, Enrique has been backed into favourite position to replace the Italian, this summer.

But now it would appear that Arsenal have also registered an interest in the former Barca manager, who led the Blaugrana to a famous treble in 2015.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that the Gunners board are willing to consider Enrique as a replacement for Arsene Wenger at the end of the season, with the North London giants looking set for a second consecutive finish outside of the top four, this term.

Although Champions League football could still be earned through success in the Europa League, it's far from guaranteed for the Gunners with some potentially tricky ties awaiting them in the knockout stages of the tournament.

And a second season without a place in European football's premiere club competition could spell the end for Wenger in the Emirates Stadium dugout.

Fans at the Emirates have become more and more restless with Wenger over the last few years, with a lack of a serious title challenge and poor performances in Europe ringing in 'Wenger Out' protests with increasing regularity, season after season.

Enrique is currently taking a self imposed sabbatical from football, after ending his spell as Barca manager, last year, following a disappointing last campaign with the Blaugrana, which saw Real Madrid take home the La Liga title and the Champions League.

But the 47-year-old has become one of the most sought after coaches in world football during his absence from the game, with his unattached status a particular plus point for clubs looking to employ him as it doesn't mean they have to navigate the minefield of settling a compensation package with another club.

But where will Enrique end up, next season? Arsenal, Chelsea or perhaps somewhere else?
