Andy Robertson Shows Elite Mentality By Urging Liverpool To Be Ruthless Against Manchester United

Andy Robertson showed his elite mentality as he shouted "be ruthless" after Mohamed Salah netted Liverpool's fifth goal against Manchester United.

Salah rubbed more salt in United wounds with a close-range finish to make it 5-0 five minutes into the second half, and Robertson was eager not to take the foot off the pedal.

Liverpool had raced into a 4-0 lead at half-time with Salah already netting a brace along with a goal each from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota.

Robertson put in another tireless 90-minute display for Jurgen Klopp's side and Reds' fans are loving the way in which the Scot is continuing to demand even more from his teammates.

The Liverpool Echo drew attention to footage doing the rounds on social media where you can hear Robertson shouting: "Keep going! Keep going! Be ruthless!"

The Scotland skipper has established himself as a fan favourite at Anfield and has made 187 appearances in all competitions, winning both the Premier League and Champions League since signing from Hull City in 2017.

The 27-year-old also isn't afraid to get involved in a scrap and endear himself even more to the Liverpool fanbase.

GiveMeSport reported how the Scot was first on the scene to defend Curtis Jones in Sunday's win, after the Reds youngster was involved in an altercation with Cristiano Ronaldo.

He also fronted up to Antoine Griezmann after the Frenchman was shown a straight red card in Liverpool's 3-2 win at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Robertson is likely to be back in action on Saturday in Liverpool's next Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield.

That game comes after a Carabao Cup fourth round tie with Preston North End at Deepdale on Wednesday night.
