Herrera was reportedly on £130,000-a-week at United who offered him a new deal, but they couldn't match PSG's astronomical contract.

He wanted in excess of £200,000-a-week at Old Trafford though the board failed to meet his demands with the player swapping England for France.

"I also promise to improve my level of French because I think that language is very important for the communication of a team."
