Alvaro Morata is watching DVD's of a Chelsea legend to improve his game.

The Spaniard was attracting plenty of interest in the summer window, with Manchester United heavily linked with his services. Though Chelsea ultimately secured his signing.

Since completing a whopping transfer in the summer from Real Madrid, he's been in prolific goal scoring form.

Morata, 25, has already weighed in with nine league goals including heading home the match winner against United in November.

And in order to maintain his impressive outings, Morata has been studying old footage of Didier Drogba.

"I put it on at home so I improve with Didier," he told Chelsea's club magazine via Metro.

Morata has six headed goals to his name, and he's recalled how his father would train him by using a trampoline.

"When I was seven or eight, I got a trampoline. My dad used to say to me all the time, 'come on with the head' and then pass the ball to me as I jumped.

"I really think it's helped my heading game because I practiced this all the time with my dad.

"I found it funny when I was little to jump high and head or kick the ball, but it helped me for the future as well because the aerial game is one of my good points," Morata added.

We like the idea of Morata watching tapes of Drogba. The Ivory Coast goal machine was dubbed the 'Flying Elephant' by German media following his aerial heroics against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Morata will be hoping to emulate his form as he continues his budding footballing career at Stamford Bridge.
