Alfredo Morelos' Wife Hired Private Investigator To Track His Car

Alfredo Morelos' Wife Hired Private Investigator To Track His Car

A private investigator has told police he was hired by Alfredo Morelos' wife to track his car.

Earlier this week there were reports that the Rangers striker discovered an individual crouched under his Lamborghini Huracan after returning home with his pregnant wife.

The Colombian was said to have given chase whilst filming the person.

But as per the Daily Record, the man responsible handed himself into police and told officers at Helen Street police station he had been hired by Morelos' other half, Yesnia.

The suspect, said to be a former Army veteran and reconnaissance expert, stated he had been asked to launch surveillance and was granted access to the car outside the Glasgow apartment where the couple reside.

He was charged with "breach of peace" and came forward because of the rumours floating around that someone was attempting to tamper with Morelos' brakes.

A source told the Record: "He was worried about the things being said between fans online, particularly the idea that someone was attempting to harm Morelos by cutting his brakes.

"After taking legal advice, he thought the best thing to do was hand himself into police and give his side of the story.

"He has told officers he is a professional investigator who was hired by Morelos' wife.

"The police thanked him for coming in and taking this responsible step."

"It's a very unfortunate situation and not one that happens to you every day, but he's fine because that's the way he is, pretty laid back.

"He handled the situation extremely well, probably better than I would have done."

Morelos recently returned from a three-match ban and played in Rangers' 0-0 draw with Aberdeen in Saturday.

Speaking before the 2-0 win over Ross Country in midweek, manager Steven Gerrard praised his talisman's handling.

He said: "It's a very unfortunate situation and not one that happens to you every day, but he's fine because that's the way he is, pretty laid back.

"He handled the situation extremely well, probably better than I would have done."
