Arsenal fans will not enjoy seeing this picture of Alexis Sanchez's ankle following Chile's Copa America win over Argentina. The Gunners winger was pivotal as Chile retained their Copa crown with a penalty shootout victory in New Jersey's MetLife Stadium last night.
He scored three goals and and assisted two on the way to being awarded player of the tournament.
But he didn't have much of an impact on the final, failing to break the deadlock in 90 minutes before going off in the 104th minute - with what was presumed as an injury.
And now Sanchez has revealed his badly swollen ankle tonight in a series of pictures on Twitter:
That is not what Arsenal fans will be wanting to see as attention soon turns to the new English season.
Sanchez didn't provide any details on the ankle - just that the injury was worth it because Chile got the Copa America win.
With news last week that Jamie Vardy wouldn't be arriving at the Emirates this summer, Arsenal supporters will be keen to see some attacking reinforcements now that Sanchez's fitness looks in doubt.
