Albania's national stadium is getting a lot of love on social media and it's hard to not be impressed by the facility.

The Air Albania Stadium, also known as Arena Kombëtar, plays host to Albania's home games and was officially opened on November 17 2019 in a 2-0 defeat to France.

With a capacity of 21,690, the stadium is incredibly impressive in its design and shape and has an 112-metre tower, 80-room hotel attached to it.

There is also a museum and shopping centre as part of the state-of-the-art project.

It was built on the same site as the old ground, which was demolished to make way for a new, modern facility near the capital city of Tirana.

You want beauty inside and out and that's the case for this stunning piece stadia, which was the brainchild of Marco Casamonti of Archea Associati.

UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin was a guest of honour for the grand opening just a year ago and he was in awe at the arena.

"In order for football to remain popular and to attract more youngsters to the stadiums, it is imperative that fans are able to watch matches in safe and comfortable conditions," Mr Čeferin said, as per UEFA.com

"The Air Albania Stadium is a state-of-the-art stadium. and I would like to congratulate the Football Association of Albania and other stakeholders in the country for overseeing [its] completion.

"Albania has made tremendous progress both on and off the pitch in terms of its football development. Now, youngsters across the country can dream of one day representing Albania in this magnificent stadium."

When normality resumes in the world and fans can attend football games again, this stadium might just be up there on the bucketlist.
