He was a pundit alongside Ryan Giggs and Shay Given for Manchester United vs. Manchester City and he brutally ripped into United.
"As in terms of football teams, Manchester United are f**ked," he said on air.
Wow. No messing.
Does Shearer have a point? Well, United's team is sort of all over the place with defensive reinforcements needed not to mention Paul Pogba being subject to intense transfer speculation. He's destined to leave the club which will leave a massive midfield void.

Of course, United went on to lose to City. And their quest for top four took another hit on Sunday. The Reds drew 1-1 with Chelsea in a game dubbed as 'must win' with David De Gea committing another howler in goal.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side occupy sixth place with just two league games remaining.
United, meanwhile, resume their campaign against Huddersfield Town on Sunday before finishing their season at home to Cardiff City.
Two relatively easy fixtures but their fate is in the hands of the teams above them as the race for top four hots up.
