Given the possession-based philosophy that they adopt, you're forgiven for thinking Ajax would only do rondos in training.
But a clip of one of the drills the Dutch side's academy are partaking in has emerged online and it's not exactly something you'd expect from a club built on the ideas of Rinus Michels and Johan Cruyff.
There is passing involved yet all is not quite as it seems. The drill is being directed by Winston Bogarde, former player of Ajax, AC Milan, Chelsea and Barcelona and now back at the Amsterdam club as Jong Ajax's assistant manager.

In a nutshell, players are being coached how to do 'slide tackle' passes and it's all a bit mad. They receive the ball from a teammate and with nobody around them, must go to ground but complete a pass as they do so.
Some of the Ajax youngsters give it a good go and hilarity ensues, with one player in particular in stitches over the drill
Clearly this would only be a warm up activity of some sorts but it looks like a load of fun.
What does not look like an enjoyable time, though, is training sessions with Marcelo Bielsa. The Argentine is nicknamed 'El Loco' and when you watch this clip from a session during his stint in charge with Athletic Bilbao.

Through the luxury of English subtitles we see an animated Bielsa wearing a bobby hat and hurling a flurry of expletives as he constantly demand's pressure and intensity.
It's easy to forget that this is just training where the result doesn't count but it just goes to show how exhausting it must be for those who work with Bielsa.
