AFTV's reaction to Granit Xhaka's shocking mistake for Arsenal was just as good as you would expect it to be.

Arsenal drew 1-1 with Burnley at Turf Moor and it was Xhaka who gifted the hosts an equaliser just before half-time.

Having received the ball from goalkeeper Bernd Leno in his own box, the Swiss international's first touch was sloppy and he ended up smacking the ball straight at the hip of Chris Wood.

The ball bounced off the New Zealand striker and bounced into the empty net for the easiest goal of his career.

Arsenal fans were no doubt tearing their hair out over the horrendous gaffe and that was exactly how those on the club's popular fan channel reacted on their live YouTube watch-along show.

Sadly there was no DT but Ty had his head in his hands and host Robbie was in complete disbelief. Lee Judges didn't say a word and simply opened his water.

The absolute best reaction, however, was from Kelechi. Shouting "Go Long!" when Xhaka had the ball at his feet, he completely lost his head when the ball ended up in the net.

The error, Xhaka's eighth directly leading to a goal since 2016/17, proved costly as Arsenal were not able to follow up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's opener.

They had a strong shout for a penalty after substitute Erik Pieters had his arm outstretched and handled the ball in the second half, but no spot-kick was awarded.

Minutes later and Dutchman Pieters was shown red by Andre Marriner in another handball incident but VAR correctly ruled he had cleared Nicolas Pepe's goal-bound effort with his his shoulder and so the decision was overturned.
