Has there ever been anything more polarising in football as ArsenalFanTV?

Either loathed and loved by supporters, there's no denying that the renowned YouTube channel has made an unprecedented impact on English football, for better or worse, we're not sure yet.

And now Robbie Lyle, founder and presenter of ArsenalFanTV, has been granted his very own TV show.

The programme, called 'The Real Football Fan Show', will feature some of the regulars of his successful channel and has been commissioned for four episodes on Channel 4.

"It's great that we can bring what we do to TV. It'll be fantastic and bring something new to how the game is covered," Lyle told Standard Sport.

"We won't be watered down and we'll give the authentic voice of the fans, "he said.

The first episode will be shown at 00:05 AM on Friday, 20th April, with the last episode to be aired three days before the final Premier League weekend run of fixtures.

So there will be plenty to talk about on the newly installed show as the Premier League heats up and we enter its climax.

Either way, The Real Football Fan Show promises to be brimming with football debate and heated discussions from supporters across the Premier League.

It could be a great way for supporters to get further understanding from each other's clubs without opinion and sentiment purely stemming from national sports journalists...or it could be a complete and unmitigated disaster that gets cancelled after only several episodes.

Channel 4 said of the show. "Made for fans, by fans and hosted by Robbie Lyle, this is a no holds barred debate on all the latest news and controversy from the beautiful game. It's going to be emotional."

ArsenalFanTV has pulled in some surprises before, even Manchester United legend Gary Neville featured in a much-anticipated half-hour long interview with the team after he had apparently labelled the brand as 'embarrassing'.

It may just be the case that this new show will be the next big thing, taking the likes of Match of the Day and Football on 5 down. Could you imagine?
