Here's a complete breakdown of what Liverpool will pocket depending on what Philippe Coutinho achieves at Barcelona.

And judging by the add-on's, Liverpool should be in a position to receive the full, or nearly, £142 million transfer fee.

Liverpool finally succumbed to Barcelona's monstrous bids, with the brilliant Brazilian completing a mammoth switch to the Camp Nou.

After an unsuccessful attempt in the summer, the Catalans landed their man with a £142 million offer.

But Liverpool are set to earn an initial £106 million fee, with £36 million through add-on's.

Ranging from appearances to winning the Champions League.

Via Mirror, here's how Liverpool can earn the extra £36 million add-on fees:

  • £18 million for Coutinho's first 100 appearances for Barcelona. The club will pay £4.5 million at each 25 match stage.
  • £4.5 million is due if Barcelona qualify for the 2018/19 Champions League. Easy money.
  • £4.5 million is due if Barcelona qualify for the 2019/20 Champions League. Again, easy money.
  • £4.5 million is due if Barcelona win the 2018/19 Champions League. Can Coutinho guide his new side to European glory?
  • £4.5 million is due if Barcelona win the 2019/20 Champions League. Can Coutinho help defend the prestigious European title?

Meanwhile, the Barcelona faithfuls will have to wait to see Coutinho in action.

He's currently sidelined with a thigh injury, and the club have confirmed he's set to be out for 'around 3 weeks'.
