2018 Champions League Final To Be Played In Eastern Europe
It's becoming a bit of a tradition that every two years the Madrid sides face each other in the Champions League. Admittedly it's only happened twice but bear with me. We don't know who will contest the final in Cardiff but we do know where the two Madrid sides will face each other next.
The Welsh capital will play host to the Champions League final next May. If you had to push me I'd say Barcelona and Bayern Munich will make the final but you'd be stupid to rule out Real, Juventus or even Manchester City in my eyes (or Leicester, I'd really love that).
UEFA today revealed that the 70,000 seater Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kiev, Ukraine, will host the 2018 final. A quick check confirms that it's called the Olympic stadium because it hosted some football games in the 1980 Moscow Olympics. But will it be the two Madrid clubs again?

It will be a busy time for Eastern European football with the final coming just a few weeks before Russia plays host to the World Cup and the winners of the Champions League final will take a second trip to the former Soviet block for the European Super Cup a couple of months later with Estonia's capital Tallinn hosting the match.
The Kiev final could prove to have problems for officials from the competition's main sponsors Gazprom. Getting a visa from Russia to Ukraine isn't exactly easy considering the two countries previous relationship issues.
So who fancies a trip east for a few months in 2018?
