"You watch the game, you don't see Busquets. You watch Busquets, you see the whole game."

Sergio Busquets is a special player and yet strangely there's still the overriding feeling that he remains underrated. But this new compilation should remind fans just how good the Barcelona midfielder is.

Created by 'AS Comps - Match Compilations', it's basically just 11 minutes of Busquets making football look easy.

The Spaniard has raised the bar for the role of a defensive midfielder with his performances over the years. Typically a player in the deep midfield position would be a water-carrier/ball winner - and while Busquets does that very well - his game is unbelievably complete.

And this clip, which has already amassed over 50,000 views, perfectly highlights what a generational talent he is.

Oozing class and composure, we see Busquets' innate awareness and decision-making to break up play, as well as setting the tempo in the middle of the park with his crisp passing.

But the video is also made up of his incredible ability to resist being pressed and his sublime dribbling making some of the very best players looking mugs.

In addition, there's also a whole host of footage whereby Busquets links up superbly with Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi, finding him in pockets with defence-splitting passes and allowing the five-time Ballon d'Or to weave his magic.

We're not exaggerating when we say there aren't any many defensive midfielders who have that in their locker, but then again there aren't any other players in that role who have the same jaw-dropping skill-set as Busquets.

Steven Gerrard provided a perfect summary of what it's like to play against Busquets after seeing him shine in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League in February 2018.

"You can't get near him, you can't get the ball off him, you can't get close," the Liverpool legend said on BT Sport.

"If you come out of your position to press him, he pops it around you - and you can't do it for 90 minutes because you're just using useless energy up.

He's an absolute nightmare to play against. He didn't break sweat. It almost looks like he's in second gear."
