Compilation of a peak Mesut Ozil proves he's one of the best creative players the Premier League has ever seen

A stunning compilation of a peak Mesut Ozil proves he's one of the best creative players the Premier League has ever seen.

Twitter user @Fanzine_com has shared a video of Ozil's best bits in an Arsenal shirt ahead of his 34th birthday on Saturday and it makes for sensational viewing.

The clip shows the German in full flow, showing off his superb range of passing and vision. Not to mention his glorious touch and skill.

It highlights his incredible ability to pick out a teammate from any position on the pitch, proving his status as a Premier League legend.

Arsenal fans online loved Ozil's individual highlights for the Gunners.

One social media user wrote: "Prime Mesut Ozil is [the] best playmaker ever."

A second tweeted: "One of the most underrated footballers. One of the best to play in the prem."

A third added: "He is the closest to Zidane in 2010 era."

Another commented: "Peak wasted with no killer strikers and a defence that leaked goals like it was nothing."

Ozil enjoyed seven seasons at the Emirates before his time at the club came to an end.

He scored 44 goals during his spell and won the FA Cup twice.

But Ozil could have gone on to achieve more success at Arsenal if it wasn't for the sale of Santi Cazorla.

According to his agent Erkut Sogut, Ozil wasn't the same following the departure of Cazorla in 2018.

"He had Santi for a while and he loved him. I think probably one of his most favourite players," he told AFTV

"Mesut is a smart, intelligent player, he reads the game and he is always looking. He loves to play with intelligent players."

Sogut added: "If you’re a No.10 the one in front of you and the one behind you, a good striker and good No.6 who cleans it up and sees you and plays you the ball so you can give the final pass.

"Santi is very smart, very intelligent and has great technique and that suited Mesut a lot to have him behind him.

"When Santi left you could see it wasn’t the same any more, right away it changed."
