Mauro Icardi candidly told Wanda Nara that he made a “bad mistake” and a divorce would be the “worst thing that could happen to me” in an emotionally charged letter.
Icardi and Wanda’s relationship appeared on the verge of collapse after the Paris Saint-Germain striker’s wife accused him of cheating.
The 28-year-old Argentine star was allowed to leave PSG training and missed his side’s 3-2 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League as he flew out to Milan to reunite with Wanda.

Wanda, who is also Icardi’s agent, slammed her husband on more than one occasion on social media amid claims he cheated on her with Argentine model China Suarez.
Icardi also hit back at the 34-year-old Argentine TV presenter and model on social media, with their troubled marriage appearing to be on the verge of collapse.
It would appear that the pair have reconciled after a tumultuous month, despite Wanda’s bombshell claim that she had asked for a divorce.

Marca now reports that Los Angeles de la Manana’s Yanina Latorre ‘discovered and revealed’ the letter that Icardi wrote in a bid to win Wanda back.

“I never lied to you or made things up, I just made a bad mistake.
“You have signed away everything that we dreamt of eight years ago, the things we wanted to do together and to build a future together.”
Icardi, who reportedly threatened to leave PSG if his relationship with Wanda wasn’t salvaged, accused his wife of wanting to “[ruin] everything over a s****y chat.”

The Argentine international claimed that a divorce was the “worst thing” that could happen to him, but he staunchly defended his position in his spat with Wanda.
“I told you to ask for a divorce, but on the inside it's the worst thing that could happen to me,” Icardi added.
“I hope you enjoy everything now, but I know I'm not a bad person. I'm a good person and I gave you my all. You know it, everyone knows it. I'm a great father, I give my life for my daughters and I'm proud of that. I'm a great stepfather too, and from the first minute I've given my life for those children to make them happy. I don't need anybody to say it because I know it.

Icardi, who has been linked with Barcelona and Chelsea, has since returned to PSG and was an unused substitute in his side’s 0-0 draw with Marseille.
The former Inter Milan captain’s future remains uncertain in the French capital, with Barcelona legend Lionel Messi reportedly falling out with PSG teammate Icardi.
