How much would peak Luis Figo be worth in this day and age when transfer prices are bloated beyond all recognition? Well it looks like the 41 year-old might still be worth a bit based on his free-kick at the weekend.

Already this summer we have seen midfielder Bernardo Silva and goalkeeper Ederson move to Manchester City for £42.5 million and £34 million respectively whilst defender Victor Lindelof moved to Manchester United for £30 million.

Last summer the transfer record was broken for Paul Pogba and everyone thought it was mad but the price of even average players is up so much these days it's time to ignore everything we've ever known.

So if this is the price of players now what would the likes of Luis Figo go for now? At his prime of 27 the Portuguese legend moved from Barcelona to Real Madrid for a then world record fee of £37 million, just about gets you an uncapped goalkeeper nowadays.

And Figo proved, for the Real Legends, at the weekend that he' still got it with a perfectly hit free-kick:

The 44 year-old and other former Los Blancos legends were taking on Roma's legends team all in the name of charity, making money for the Real Madrid Foundation.

Real boasted the likes of Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Fernando Morientes in their team as they ran out 4-0 winners at the Bernabeu. Roma had Cafu, Marco Delvecchio and Aldair amongst their ranks.

The Real Legends XI are becoming as much of a force as the senior team and have now won six of their last seven matches together for charity. Morientes scored twice and Edwin Congo, who never made a first team appearance for the club, added to Figo's free kick.

There isn't a team in the world who wouldn't want a 27 year-old Figo in their team, but you'd have to pay a fair whack for him!
