Andres Iniesta rolled back the years with two assists and a lovely piece of skill as Vissel Kobe won their Asian Champions League matchday one game 5-1 against Johor Darul Ta'zim.
The 35-year-old, who was recently linked with a surprise move back to Barcelona, started in the AFC Champions League game and played a brilliant ball for Keijiro Ogawa to open the scoring after just 13 minutes.

Safawi Rasid equalised for the visitors on 27 minutes before Kyogo Furuhashi added a second for the Japanese sid.
Iniesta nearly had a second assist on 42 minutes. He played a brilliant back heel flick before getting the ball back and playing another perfect through ball but his teammate was adjudged to be offside.

Ogawa completed his hat-trick in the second half with goals in the 58th and 72nd minute with Douglas scoring in between in the 65th minute.
Iniesta also provided the assist for Ogawa's third, the fifth for his side, with a perfect cross that rounded off a performance that left fans on social media singing his praises again.

Andres Iniesta has absolutely ripped JDT apart tonight.

5-1 to Vissel Kobe as it stands. That cross from Iniesta for Kobe's 5th goal was ridiculous. This man barely runs and yet, he just somehow always finds time and space. Bewildering.
Andreas Iniesta just walking and beat all the JDT players. This is illegal. Man of the match :sob: pic.twitter.com/QPggdtzcb8

At 35, Iniesta has proved that age is just a number. He showed that you do not need flair and pace to rip teams apart. JDT were undone by a footballing genius. He made the team tick with his movement and passes.

This is not the end for JDT. Just learn from the genius #ACL2020
Iniesta like teaching JDT on how to play football..

Andres Iniesta. Age is just a number to him. This level is still too easy for him, even at 35. Cantering all of the pitch imperiously.

In January the four time Champions League winner was linked with a move back to the Camp Nou but Marca reported earlier this week that the club never considered bringing him back.
The La Liga champions were focused on bringing in a forward due to Luis Suarez's injury but failed to find a replacement for the Uruguayan.
