Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't have been wondering who the noisy neighbours to his table at a restaurant last week were as he actually had the noisiest neighbour at his own table in Pep Guardiola.
As manager of Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson saw their local rivals City go from a side who bounced between leagues, even dropping down to the third tier, to being their biggest rivals and the team who overtook them at times.
City pretty much forced the Scot to retire with the former Aberdeen manager taking revenge over the Blue side of Manchester for their first Premier League title in 2012 a season later before calling it a day.
That was after Fergie had referred to the 'smaller' of the Manchester clubs as United's 'noisy neighbours' but long gone are those days with the blue half of the city now the better football team.

They've proved that immensely this season by running away with their third Premier League title with United in a distant second place and playing a less exciting style of football.
According to the Daily Mail the legendary United manager acknowledged this by taking Pep Guardiola for dinner the week after his City side won the title, to congratulate Guardiola on his success.
United been City, from 2-0 down, last month to delay City winning the title but just one week later they went from that high to a low when they lost to bottom of the table West Brom to confirm the title.

It's believed that the meal with Fergie and Pep took place just a couple of days after United's loss which left them 16 points behind the champions with just five games to play.
Guardiola's time in the Premier League has not overlapped with Fergie's career, in fact the Spaniard had accepted his move to Germany with Bayern Munich not long before Fergie announced his retirement, but the paid faced twice in Champions League finals.
In 2009 and 2011 Pep's Barca were too good for Fergie's United at a time when the La Liga side were considered one of the best teams ever.
