Don't like football anymore!

Look we knew this day would eventually come and we knew it would very much be sooner rather than later but I don't care I'm going to be a big kid about this one. If Ronaldinho isn't a footballer any more then what's the point!

You've just got to appreciate one of the smiliest players to have ever graced the game. Whenever the samba styled superstar was on the pitch you always knew it would be fun, especially at the peak of his career with Barcelona, oh why did no one ever get him to the Premier League?

The 36 year old has had some career and as well as winning the World Cup in 2002 also has a Champions League winners medal and Copa Libertadores winners medal to his name, now that's a legend! However the latter years of his career have been a bit of a shambles, now international ambassador for former club Barcelona he admitted he won't play beyond next season:

"I am an old man now, I am 36. I am no longer 26 like I once was, and I am looking at what I can do to mark an end to my career. The plan is to play one more year."

That is likely to be in Brazil where his last four clubs have been, since moving home from AC Milan. He had one year at Flamengo before another season at Atletico Mineiro, one at Querétaro and eventually at Fluminense.

Earlier this year he spent two matches in the Indian futsal league alongside Ryan Giggs before returning to South America to be an ambassador for the upcoming Paralympics and then took the role in New York with the Camp Nou side.

Talking about what he might do with his career after football the two time FIFA World Player of the Year added, "I am immersed in new projects, related to music and football which are, as you know, my two passions. I am looking at new things that I have always liked and we will see what we will do this year."

I'm just going to sit in a dark room and watch video highlights from the great man whilst crying, there's worse ways to spend a Wednesday night!
