"Cristiano (Ronaldo) was in the room as well..."

Correct me if I'm wrong but a typical photo album on your phone would usually consist of several 'selfies' with family members or a partner, right?

These pictures would perhaps be taken at your favourite holiday resort or a big fancy wedding.

Many would even dedicate an entire section to the popular self portrait on their device, but then again, Jurgen Klopp isn't your average guy, is he?

The Liverpool manager, who watched his side feel the wrath of a certain Lionel Messi on Wednesday night, has revealed that he only has one selfie on his smartphone.

And Cristiano Ronaldo was in the room at the time.

"I have one selfie on my smartphone. That's with Messi. Cristiano was in the room, as well..." he said in an interview with Liverpool TV.

So there we have it. Klopp clearly doesn't bother with family member selfies, but a picture with arguably the greatest of all time was a must.

Even when a certain Cristiano was in the room.

The German manager couldn't help but admire the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's performancer against his side in the Champions League semi-final, hailing his brilliance.

"In these moments he is unstoppable," said Klopp after the game. "We couldn't defend the free kick. What a strike.

"The second goal was probably not the nicest in the career of Messi, but it shows his skills that he is even there in that moment. Apart from that I was happy in how we defended the whole Barcelona team. I am a big admirer of them, as is everybody, but my boys didn't show too much respect, they were there every time.

"We played football and I liked that. I knew before that Lionel was a world‑class player and now I saw it again I am not too surprised."

Is Lionel Messi the greatest player of all time?
