He may be about 53, but Gianluigi Buffon just keeps defying all science and logic by continuing to thrive at the highest level on a weekly basis.
And this past weekend, the legendary Italy and Juvenntus captain achieved a feat that not any other players in history will ever accomplish.
The 38-year-old lined up for the Bianconeri's 2-1 loss against Fiorentina with 19-year-old Federico Chiesa appearing for La Viola, 21 years after his father Enrico first started alongside Buffon at Parma.

Which other goalkeepers in Europe measure up to Gianluigi Buffon?
Chiesa senior retired seven years ago, finishing his career with minnows Giallo-Blu Figline. The striker helped Parma to UEFA Cup success in 1999 before departing for Fiorentina later that year, two years before Buffon left the Stadio Ennio Tardini in a £31m deal that saw him become the world's most expensive goalkeeper.

It's hard to believe that Buffon has played on the same pitch as two generations of the same family, then again, nothing 'Superman' does is surprising any more, given that he broke the Serie A clean sheet record, going over 12 matches without conceding a goal just last season. Oh and, just for good measure, the former Parma man was voted Italian Player of The Year for 2016.
What...A...Fucking...Bloke. Image: PA
What insane feat will Buffon achieve next? We're guessing he lines up for Juventus in 10 years time with his two sons also in the starting line up.
