Bruno Fernandes has revealed that he has one big regret since joining Manchester United, and that's getting to talk to Sir Alex Ferguson.

Pretty much everything has gone right for Fernandes since moving to the Premier League from Sporting in January 2020.

The 26-year-old turned United's season around last season and helped them finish third in the league, when previously a top four finish seemed extremely unlikely.

He has scored 40 goals in 78 appearances in all competitions since joining the club and could add his first silverware as a United player in the Europa League final in 10 days time.

However despite all that Fernandes revealed in a Q&A that he regrets not sitting down for a chat with Fergie.

"That is one of my biggest regrets in the club until now," Bruno answered when asked if he'd met the legendary United boss.

"I met him already but never had the chance to speak with him like I would like to do.

"I think everyone who watched Manchester United in the past remembers Sir Alex. [That is true] for me, growing up and seeing the club, being a fan of the club and seeing the development of the team.

"I would like to have a conversation with him and understand, from his point of view, what he thinks about me and what I can improve or still improve in my game to be better."

Most United fans would attest to the fact that an improved Bruno would make for an incredible player, considering how good he's already been.

And it seems even the player appreciates how good he is. The former Sampdoria midfielder revealed that if he had an attribute from one of his teammates he'd already be a Ballon d'Or winner.

"I think I'm not the slowest player in the world but if I would have the pace of Rashy, honestly, I would be a Ballon d'Or [winner] already. With the pace he has, oh my God, he's unbelievable.

"It's incredible the way he is and, when I talk about pace, it's about running with the ball and without the ball, and, at the same time, the pace in his feet. The quality he has, the moves he has and the agility he has to come away from difficult situations. It's unbelievable."

How much better can Bruno be?
