Poor Arsene Wenger, it's not exactly been the best week of his career, then again it's not exactly been the best decade of his career either. Jamie Carragher thinks it's time Arsenal announce his departure for the end of the season.
There were about 100 hours between Arsenal losing 3-0 to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup and Arsenal losing 3-0 to Manchester City in the Premier League and the boos rung around the stadium after the latter, well where there were fans left.
Arsene Wenger twice had to watch his team implode at the hands of Pep Guardiola's side. Sunday was all about how poor Arsenal were whilst Thursday was more about City's beautiful team moves but helped by the Gunners' defending.

What will Piers Morgan do when Wenger's gone? Here's some of his most memorable tweets about the Arsenal boss:
As always there are calls for Wenger to leave the Emirates. Despite winning the FA Cup three times in the last four years the Frenchman has come in for repeated flak, especially as they've fallen so far behind being title challengers.
On Sky Sports last night Jamie Carragher called for him to announce now that he'll step away at the end of the season, saying:

"He is a legend, not just for Arsenal, but for the English game. But they have to change it now. It has to be done. There's no way the end of this season should be about this man, for what he's done. He shouldn't be going through that, with the empty stadiums.
"Announce now that you're going to change the manager for next season and I'm sure everyone in this stadium, in a TV studio, everywhere will go 'come on, let's give this man a send-off. It's what he deserves."
There were rumours that the former Monaco manager was going to leave at the end of last season but he decided that he would sign a new two year deal.

The problem for him leaving now is that with Arsenal Fan TV, fan reaction round the ground and results it's massively questionable whether or not even leaving now would allow him to get the send-off his early success certainly deserves.
Is Wenger so far gone that he will now be defined by his failures no matter what?
