Steven Gerrard reminded LA Galaxy fans and MLS onlookers of his world class quality last night by scoring a brilliant goal against Real Salt Lake.
The Liverpool legend carved up the Salt Lake defence to coolly slip the ball past the goalkeeper Nick Rimand in stoppage time, to make the final score 5-2 to the Californians.
But it wasn't all a barrel of laughs for the former England captain, after he missed a penalty during the first-half. However, Gerrard, now 35, more than made up for his error by treating those inside the stadium to an outstanding run and finish.
The win extended Galaxy's unbeaten streak to five games and moved them into third in the Western Conference on 14 points.

Gerrard's contract runs out at the end of the current MLS season, and it remains to be seen if he'll be offered fresh terms by the Galaxy. If he continues to come up with goals like this, it'll be a no-brainer.
