Victor Valdes could be about to lose his job as Barcelona youth team manager, just months after being appointed, after not travelling with the Juvenil A team on Saturday.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper was made manager of the Juvenil A team in the summer but according to Catalunya Radio, via AS, has already told members of the team that his future is in doubt.
It comes on the back of him not travelling to the game against Gimnàstic de Tarragona on Saturday and a discussion with former teammate Patrick Kluivert, who is the club's youth academy director.
Ahead of the game the club put out a statement saying, "Victor Valdes, coach of Juvenil A, will not travel to the game, which will be played against Gimnastic de Tarragona at the Municipal Camp de la Pobla de Mafumet."

Reportedly Valdes has already been at odds with the board over his side not being allowed to play at the club's Estadi Johan Cruyff.
The youth team manager was told that the ground was used only for Barca reserve and Barcelona Women games, not youth team games.
On using the ground the former Manchester United keeper said, "From the first day when I arrived on my motorbike, I thought it would be our home but I will keep fighting."

The team not being able to use the ground isn't the only issue for Valdes though with the 37-year-old also reportedly not joining his fellow youth coaches for a team dinner, with the club questioning his position.
The Spaniard has also annoyed the board with poor results, losing to Inter and Borussia Dortmund in their opening two games of the UEFA Youth League.
That has led the manager to play a more pragmatic 4-4-2 in the search for results, which flies in the face of everything the club stands for as they usually set all their teams up to play in the same way.

Valdes isn't the only manager at the club under pressure with the first team's below par to the season putting Ernesto Valverde under some pressure.
Barca play against Sevilla on Sunday night in La Liga.
