Real Madrid are reportedly contemplating terminated the contract of a player who has not made a single appearance in five years.
Having failed to win a trophy last season, Real have made a series of changes at the top - including bringing in former player Xabi Alonso as their new boss after Carlo Ancelotti took the Brazil job.
Real have made five significant signings in Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alvaro Carreras and Franco Mastantuono, while long-time servants Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Jesus Vallejo have all moved on.
But AS say Real are also considering taking a measure to facilitate a fourth exit this summer.
In January 2020, Los Blancos paid €30 million to sign an 18-year-old Reinier Jesus from Flamengo, making him their latest Brazilian import.
What happened to Reinier Jesus at Real Madrid?
Though he made a handful of appearances for the club's Castilla side, Reinier has not featured for Real's first team in five-and-a-half years - insteading spending time on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Girona, Frosinone and Granada.

Following on from Ancelotti's comment last season where he said it was best that Reinier "looks for a team where he can show his qualities", it's claimed that Alonso and his coaches have no plans for him in their squad and with his contract due to expire in 2026, Reinier is therefore available for transfer.
There is no situation whereby he returns to the reserve side, with Real said to be willing to take the step of terminating his deal to get him off the books if no suitable offers arrive for him.
If that happens, Reinier would therefore become a free agent and be allowed to move on to pastures new without any fee.
A recent report from MARCA said the player was preparing for the new season away from Real back in Brazil, working with 'trusted fitness trainer' and a physiotherapist.
