Corinthians' Revolutionary New Shirt Sponsor Is Only Revealed When A Player Sweats

It's different to say the least...

Corinthians' began their new Brazilian league campaign on Sunday by wearing a kind of shirt sponsor you will never have seen before.

Fábio Carille's charges lost their opening game against Fluminense and did so wearing a shirt sponsor that only becomes visible when a player sweats during a game.

The Nike-tailored shirts contain a white background in the middle - almost like when a club needs to have their sponsor covered up. Yet it's all done for a purpose, that being that the more a player perspires, the clearer the sponsor becomes.

Corinthians gave it a test in a training session before using the innovative heat-triggered technology in a 2-1 defeat.

As you can see in the below pictures, it didn't play it particularly well as some players revealed the sponsor perfectly because they'd been getting a sweat on, some didn't see the fully benefit and some didn't do it all.

While it could serve as a way for managers to see how hard their players are working and it's pretty cool, it's fairly pointless at the same time when you think of it.

Corinthians didn't use the feature for their 1-0 Copa Libertadores win over Independiente today so it looks like it could be a one-off thing.

In a strange week for football kit firsts, Inter Milan got football fans ranging like old, moaning dads when they said their players were wearing their Instagram handles on the back of their shirts instead of their names for the game against Cagliari.

However, the Nerazzurri confirmed it was all a big joke to boil some piss so that game hasn't officially gone just yet.
