Jurgen Klopp Complains About Lack Of Hand Sanitiser In Press Conference Following Spurs Draw

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp brought up the lack of hand sanitiser in Tottenham Hotspur's press room following Sunday's Premier League clash against Spurs.

You can see that footage below.

The North London club have suffered from the impact of COVID in recent weeks, with nine first-team stars and several members of staff - not to mention “many, many” under-23 players - returning positive tests.

Amid the outbreak, Antonio Conte's side have had games against Rennes, Brighton and Leicester called off. In fact, Spurs have been knocked out of the Europa Conference League after forfeiting their final group match against Rennes.

It has been an unforgiving time for the club and after their clash against Liverpool at the weekend, opposition manager Jurgen Klopp was keen to voice his opinion about the measures in place inside Spurs' press room.

Shortly after sitting down to begin his media duties, he pointed out a lack of hand sanitisers in the building before mentioning their previous COVID cases.

"I really think in this room there should be hand sanitizer," Klopp said. "I honestly think that would be good. You know, you had around about 13 cases or whatever. I have to touch a chair."

It was a controversial game in North London on Sunday and after the full-time whistle, Klopp fumed at referee Paul Tierney following two contentious decisions during the 2-2 draw.

Harry Kane avoided a red card for a reckless challenge on Andy Robertson - a decision that sparked a huge reaction both on the pitch and on social media.

Klopp was then handed a yellow card for his appeals after Diogo Jota appeared to be taken out in the box by Emerson Royal when through on goal, but referee Paul Tierney failed to award a penalty.

It's fair to say Liverpool's manager was far from happy with the outcome.
