'What A Disgrace' - Jamie Carragher Blasted By Furious Fans After Kicking Out At Kem Cetinay In Soccer Aid Match

"[Soccer Aid] he should have nothing to do with it in future," one fan said. Jamie Carragher has been blasted for his "nasty" challenge.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has been ruthlessly criticised by angry fans after he appeared to kick out at Kem Cetinay during the 2021 Soccer Aid match.

Former Love Island star Cetinay opened the scoring for World XI with a low-driven strike that snuck under Joel Dommett.

The 25-year-old TV personality, who scored a brace in World XI’s 3-0 win, found himself clashing with Carragher in the second half.

Cetinay attempted to round the Sky Sports pundit in the charity match, but Carragher had his number on this occasion.

Carragher was spotted pulling on Cetinay’s shirt before he appeared to flick a kick at the World XI player as he fell to the pitch.

“Jamie Carragher, what a disgrace to play like that in a friendly charity match,” one fan said.

Someone else posted: “Pulled him and then kicked back! It was that kickback for me. NASTY.”

And a third Twitter user tweeted: “[Carragher] absolutely a disgrace. That was not the only time just because Kem was better than him. [Soccer Aid] he should have nothing to do with it in future.”

While a fourth added: “I think someone needs to remind Carragher this is a charity match.”

Another clash between Carragher and Cetinay occurred when the Liverpool legend went in with a heavy tackle as his opponent appeared to be running away from him.

Carragher also managed to grab headlines after he surprisingly beat Jamaica legend Usain Bolt in a race to the ball.

Lee Mack and Cetinay’s brace sealed the win over the England team on Friday evening at the Etihad.

The 2021 edition of Soccer Aid raised a record-breaking £13,014,769 for the charity UNICEF.
