Harry Kane Hoping To Complete Man City Move Within Days

Harry Kane Hoping To Complete Man City Move Within Days

Harry Kane is still trying to push a move to Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur wantaway forward Harry Kane is reportedly expecting a breakthrough before this weekend in his bid to join Manchester City.

During this summer’s transfer window, Pep Guardiola’s side have been negotiating with Spurs, but remain no closer to signing Kane, having had a £100m bid rejected last month.

With Tottenham playing hardball over the deal, City are understood to be readying a second offer of £125m - but chairman Daniel Levy is refusing to discuss what would be a new British record deal

Levy is believed to value his talisman at around £160m, but deteriorating relations between the two parties have hardened the England captain’s resolve to leave north London.

On Sunday, Spurs beat City without Kane after Son Heung-min’s goal sealed a 1-0 triumph over the reigning Premier League champions, sparking chants of “are you watching, Harry Kane?”

Kane returned to training with his Tottenham teammates on Tuesday after completing his period of isolation following a holiday in the Bahamas and Florida.

At the end of last season, Kane told Spurs that he wanted to leave the club in a bid to compete more regularly for major trophies and believes he has a gentleman’s agreement with Levy to leave.

But the Spurs chief has made it clear he does not want to sell his star striker, who has three years remaining on the six-year contract he signed in 2018.

Intriguingly, Kane has been included in Tottenham’s 25-man squad for their Europa Conference League play-off tie at Pacos de Ferreira on Thursday.

Could it be Kane's last game for the club? Only time will tell, but his contributions to the club - 221 goals inside 336 games in all competitions - will not be forgotten.

With the transfer window slamming shut in just under two weeks, it will certainly be interesting to see how this transfer saga develops.
