Now, they are one of the youngest nations playing under FIFA's banner, and are only taking part in their second qualifying campaign, so we can all excuse Gibraltar's national side for being a bit rubbish.

But how rubbish do you need to be to concede just seven seconds into a match - when YOU have kicked off?

That's exactly what happened tonight when the minnows took on the mite of Belgium in their 2018 World Cup qualifier in Portugal.

Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke was the lucky beneficiary, latching onto a loose ball and somehow managing to put his side ahead before most fans had probably sat down:

A lot of Gibraltar's players are part-time, and tonight they're not really expected to do anything of note against some of Europe's best players.

But seven seconds?! Come guys, our Sunday league team could at least hold out for 10, maybe even 20 seconds!
