Russian Footballer Proposes To Girlfriend For His Goal Celebration

Russian Footballer Proposes To Girlfriend For His Goal Celebration

The unbridled joy of scoring a goal was soon overtaken by the joy of her saying yes as he grabbed flowers and a ring on his was to proposing

Celebrations are always a big topic. Whether it's Alexandre Lacazette and Paul Pogba winding a nation of pundits up or the hated 'no celebration' by a former player they create headlines. But nothing is beating this one from Russia.

There's nothing better than scoring. Whether it's on the pitch or off, scoring makes you want to celebrate. If you're doing it right it generally means not thinking about it and going a little wild.

That's why it irks so many people that taking off your shirt equals a yellow card because no one actually plans it, it's just unbridled joy.

Speaking of being bridled, yeah we're doing this, one player in Russia decided to celebrate his goal by running off the pitch, grabbing a bunch of flowers, I have a feeling this was planned, and a ring before kneeling in front of his girlfriend and proposing.

The goal and proposal took part during Torpedo Miass's 6-2 win over Uralets after Alexander Belov scored from the set piece he was off on the run of his life time to propose to his missus.

There's a lot to be said here with Belov either very confident of scoring on this day or the future Mrs Belov comes to every match, the player buying a bunch of flowers every week and just preparing for the moment he can actually get away with the proposal.

Either way, fair play lad.

Some players of course have their own trademark celebration but what happens when someone steals it, like Neymar did when mocking Cristiano Ronaldo during Brazil training.

He curled an absolute beauty into the top bins and then proceeded to do his best CR7 impression, jumping in the air and then doing the "SIUUU!" celebration we are accustomed to seeing Ronaldo produce every time he finds the net.

Neymar likely won't be replicating the celebration in a game anytime soon, but being honest we're absolutely fine with that. There's no way he's topping his trolling of Nimes supporters when he opened the scoring against them in a 4-2 win over the weekend.

Some Nimes supporters had a banner mocking Neymar's whining and after the £198 million man finished off a flowing team move, he immediately rubbed salt in the wounds by doing a crying gesture to the home fans and then posing in front of THAT banner.
