Radja Nainggolan put together almost the perfect performance as he was involved in four of Cagliari's four goals in a 5-2 win over Fiorentina, including a brilliant strike for the fifth.

Belgian midfielder Nainggolan returned to his first Italian team Cagliari in the summer, on loan, and he's been in great form for Rolando Maran's side.

On Sunday afternoon they played Fiorentina and the Inter loanee had a great day. The 31-year-old scored an absolute banger to make it 5-0, and that's after he set up his teammates for three goals.

Cagliari went into the game in brilliant form, having won three of their previous four games, and were amongst the challengers for the Champions League spots ahead of kick off.

They opened the scoring on just 16 minutes when Nainggolan found Marko Rog with a lovely flick round the corner and the striker finished brilliantly.

Fabio Pisacane made it 2-0 after 26 minutes, with the only goal that Nainggolan didn't have anything to do with, before the Belgian put on his second assist of the game.

After seeing his shot saved he crossed for fellow loanee Giovanni Simeone, who scored past the team he still belongs to, before Diego's son blew a kiss to the sky in honour of former Fiorentina and Cagliari defender Davide Astori, who died last year.

The hosts had a fourth goal in the 54th minute thanks to the great work of Nainggolan, winning the ball, starting a counter attack and then finding Joao Pedro.

After the man involved in four of the goals made it 5-0 the visitors finally showed something as the hosts took their foot off the gas.

Dusan Vlahovic grabbed two consolations in the 75th and 87th minutes but Vincenzo Montella's side were still well beaten.

Maran's team go into third place in Serie A, behind only Inter and Juventus.
